The European Ayurveda Centre (EAC) is thé Ayurveda centre of Europe. Beautifully situated in Witharen near Ommen in the region Vechtdal, in the province of Overijssel in The Netherlands.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a natural healing method from India. In Ayurveda the emphasize is put on prevention of disease and the vital making and keeping it that way of the body. It looks for this at the whole person: physically, mentally and spiritually. Ayurveda literally means “knowledge of life” and the secret lies in its simplicity, naturalness and effectiveness.
Practice
In our practice we give nutritional advice, lifestyle advices, all sorts of treatments, pancha karma and spiritual guidance. All with one goal: bringing the client back into balance. The Ayurvedic principles give you handles in the domain of body, mind and soul and contribute to maintain health and wellbeing. So you will be feeling (longer) vital and active.
Training
Besides our practice we give courses at the Spiritual International Open University for Traditional Ayurveda, Siddha, Tribal Art and Medicines, which was founded by us.
Research
Together with a number of knowledge institutes in the Netherlands we do scientific research into the effectiveness of traditional Ayurvedic medicines.

Test uw constitutie
In alle levende organismen zijn drie bio-energetische krachten (dosha’s) werkzaam: Vata, de kracht van beweging, pitta de kracht van transformatie en kapha, de kracht van structuur. Ieder mens wordt geboren met een eigen unieke combinatie van deze krachten. Met onze constitutietest kunt u uw eigen geboorteconstitutie (prakruti) bepalen.
Ayurvedisch Balans Consult
Het Ayurvedisch Balans Consult (ABC) is bedoeld voor mensen die niet direct ziek zijn maar die graag willen weten hoe het ervoor staat met hun algehele conditie. Een algehele check-up waarin uitgebreid aandacht wordt geschonken aan leefstijl, voeding, kruidensupplementen, vitaminen en mineralen.
Pancha karma kuur
Pancha karma is een van de meest uitgebreide reinigingsmethoden voor lichaam en geest. Pancha Karma bestaat uit vijf verschillende behandelmethoden om de lichaamskanalen (srota’s) te reinigen zodat de levensadem (prana) zonder obstakels alle lichaamscellen kan bereiken. Deze kuur is aan te raden voor mensen die vaak onder grote druk moeten werken, vermoeid zijn en dan doorgaans niet genoeg tijd kunnen nemen om weer tot rust te komen.
Onze kruidentuinen
Wij geven u op verzoek graag een rondleiding door onze kruidentuinen, het stokpaardje van ons centrum. Hier worden bijna alle Ayurvedische kruiden die in Nederland voorkomen gekweekt. Daarbij wordt gebruik gemaakt van ‘panchagavyam‘ een oude Vedische organische landbouwmethode. In panchagavyam worden de vijf producten van de koe – melk, yoghurt, boter, urine en mest – in een bepaalde verhouding gemengd en gebruikt als organisch mest of als bestrijdingsmidel tegen ongedierte.
